Hopefully we can use this site to foster new ideas for individuals wanting to start their first business or help those expand a current one. Hopefully this can also be a great place to discuss viable, new-business ideas that people can use in their respective locations. My first topic is opening and running a hostel (dormitory style housing for travelers). This has been a great model in Europe and other countries and is currently gaining some momentum in the U.S. But, does it make money and what are the advantages or disadvantages? I would appreciate any comments.
